Time to fully charge
Super capacitors offer a significantly faster charging time compared to traditional and lithium-ion batteries, and the NS800 can reach a full charge from your low voltage car battery in just about five minutes.
What is the lifespan for the NS800

Super capacitors have a longer lifespan than other types of battery charging devices. The number of charge cycles (charge and discharge) is determined capacitor density.  The NS800 uses high density capacitors and can achieve around 200,000 charge cycles.

What maintenance is required
The NS800 can be easily maintained with a gentle wash using mild soap and water, ensuring it remains in pristine condition. To safeguard your NS800, a nylon storage bag is included for protection.
How heavy is the NS800
The NS800 is incredibly lightweight at just 2lbs, making it an exceptional choice for anyone seeking portability and ease of use. In stark contrast, traditional battery jumpers typically weigh around 18lbs, which can make them cumbersome and difficult to handle, especially in emergency situations. The significant weight difference underscores the advantage of the NS800, allowing users to easily transport it without the strain of heavy equipment. This innovation not only enhances convenience but also makes it accessible for a wider range of users, ensuring that a reliable jump starter is always within reach when needed most.

What are the safety features
Super capacitor jump starters are built with safety in mind. The NS800 features several important protection measures including short circuit protection, reverse polarity prevention, overcharging safeguards, and overheating control.
What happens if the NS800 gets wet
The NS800 is built to resist both water and dust, boasting an IP62 rating. Should it accidentally come into contact with water, just wipe it dry and place it in the included storage bag.
What if the clamps are connected in reverse
The NS800 features reverse polarity protection to safeguard against incorrect connections. If the clamps are reversed, an error code of E01 will appear. To reset, simply disconnect the clamps, press the power button, and reconnect them, ensuring that the RED clamp is attached to the positive terminal and the BLACK clamp to the negative terminal on the battery.
The unit is HOT to the touch
If the internal temperature of the NS800 rises above the normal range, an error code E06 will appear on the display as a warning sign. In this situation, it is important to immediately disconnect the unit from its power source and allow it to cool down properly to ensure safe operation and to prevent any potential damage.

How to power On and Off

To power on the NS800, simply press the power button located at the top left side of the device. If the unit is adequately charged, the display will indicate both the percentage of capacitor charge remaining and the internal voltage level. Should the display remain off, it indicates that the unit requires charging.

Following use, the NS800 is designed to automatically time out and shut off; however, if you prefer to turn off the display manually, you can do so by pressing and holding the power button for five seconds before releasing it.

Troubleshooting

What voltage is required to start the engine

A typical automotive starter will generally struggle to function below around 10.8 volts; most experts consider this the lowest practical voltage for starting a car, as significantly lower voltages will likely prevent the starter from engaging properly and turning the engine over effectively.

Key points to remember:

Minimum cranking voltage:

  • While the standard battery voltage is 12 volts, the “cranking voltage” (voltage when the starter is engaged) needs to be slightly higher to ensure proper operation.
Difficulty starting at low voltage:
  • Even slightly below 11 volts, starting a car may become difficult, often requiring multiple attempts.
Battery replacement needed:
  • If your battery consistently drops below 10.8 volts when cranking, it likely needs to be replaced.
NS800 Force Start button will not function

The NS800 display voltage must be at lease 13V in order to properly function.

Test Steps for Force Start Function:

  1. Pushed the button 5 times , there will be a 10sec preparatory phase.
  2. The ‘’START’’ indicator on the monitor will light up, and then begin flashing after the 10secs
  3. The discharge will start for 30secs with a long tone sound, and the “START” indicator on the monitor will stop flashing.
  4. Start car engine durning the long tone period.
